About Me & Them
Me & Them is a personal project. It grew out of more than 25 years of journaling - my own notebooks, my own struggles, my own gradual finding home.
The tools in the app are based on established psychological theories, adapted to work in a quiet, private, app-sized space.
Dialogue
Dialogue is inspired by Gestalt therapy, NLP and coaching. By giving voice to your perception of other people - actually speaking as them - you become aware of things you didn't know you knew. I've had conversations in my own journal with my deceased father, with people close to me, with figures from my dreams. It might sound a little strange. It works every time.
Constellation
Constellation draws on Family Constellations and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Visually placing your relationships in space hits a different part of your mind - something more intuitive and bodily. You don't even have to analyse it much. Just making the constellation feeds something in you.
Mirroring
Mirroring is rooted in Jungian shadow work and narrative theory. It looks at how we understand others through the lens of ourselves - the traits we admire or find irritating in others often reflect adjustments we had to make to ourselves somewhere along the way.
Body Scan
Body Scan draws on mindfulness, yoga and bodywork. Your body is where your feelings actually live. When we disconnect from it - through tension, habit, busyness - we lose access to a system much older and wiser than our conscious minds. Listening again is a way back.
Why
There is no hedge fund behind this app. I don't need to feed investors or treat you as a resource. Me & Them exists because I believe this kind of inner work matters - and that it shouldn't be complicated to begin.
My sincere hope is that it might help someone grow. Out of pain. Into something more like themselves.
